“SQDC BUSINESS SCHOOL -  LAUNCHES THE NATIONAL CERTIFCATE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT NQF5”

 SQDC is to proud to announce that it will be launching the SAQA Accredited National Certificate in Project Management

NQF5 – 122 credits on 12 March 2012.

 Registrations will open from 12 February 2012. Learners who meet the entrance requirements are encouraged to register via our website  www.sqdc.co.za or at our training school Suite 1111  11^th floor Musgrave Centre 115 Musgrave Road Durban.

 The purpose of this qualification is for learners to develop key competencies that will enable them to operate effectively as project managers of small to moderately complex projects. It is targeting the occupation of Junior Project Manager.

 To qualify the learner needs to obtain a minimum of 120 credits drawn from a number of unit standards and to meet the 3 exit level outcomes (ELO) of the qualification which are:

·         Module 1 (1^st trimester) Plan the Project

·         Module 2 (2^nd trimester)Conduct effective communication while working on a project (this includes stakeholder management)

·         Module 3 (3^rd trimester) Execute and control the project

Qualifying learners will be able to plan and control their projects and when working on a project will have the necessary knowledge skills and attitudes to function more effectively in a professional manner add value to their job and enhanced abilities to follow and implement policies and procedures.

Entrance requirements include: Learners will already be competent at the NQF level 4 National Certificate (Matric/Grade 12) or Further Education and Training Certificate in Project Management unit standards.

For much of the qualification learners will be in working in team mode and  undertake self study to expand their understanding of Theory  as well as undertake assignments outside of class work as part of practical work. The qualification will be conducted in English.
